Posting Data to Your Host

Cloudsome lets you post custom data to your webhost using the POST method. You can post a regular query string, JSON body or, really, anything that can be posted in the body of a POST request. Let’s look at a few examples.

Posting Form Data. Let’s say you want to post some stuff as if it’s coming from a form, for example: email=emailaddr@gmail.com&fname=John&zipcode=91223. You would enter the following into the Post Data text field:

email=emailaddr@gmail.com&fname=John&zipcode=91223

But let’s say you want to post some JSON to a RESTful API endpoint. Very simple, you can just enter your JSON the same way you enter anything else into the Post Data field:

{ "name":"John", "age":30, "car":null }
